Lace Plant Aponogeton madagascariensis bulb
Lace Plant Aponogeton madagascariensis var. henkelianus
- One of the most beautiful Lace plant forms
- Broad leaves with delicate grid structure
- Eyecatcher in larger tanks
This fascinating variant of the Madagascar laceplant is also known as Aponogeton madagascariensis var. henkelianus. It lives up to its name “laceplant” or “laceleaf”: the broad leaves have a delicate grid structure, the leaf tissue is reduced to the thin nerves. The larger perforations are divided by smaller, irregularly arranged connecting nerves. As a solitary plant or small, loose group in the midground or background, Aponogeton madagascariensis “henkelianus” draws all eyes.
The forms of Aponogeton madagascariensis originate from cool, fast flowing, permanent rivers in Madagaskar. They prefer cooler water below 25 °C, good water movement, CO2 supply and nutrient-rich bottom. Medium lighting is sufficient.

Lilaeopsis brasiliensis Brazilian micro sword
- Grasslike ground covering plant
- Slow-growing
- Adaptable
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis can grow very densely, but it only grows like a lawn under very intensive light. When planting, make small tufts and put them into the ground with a distance of only a few centimetres, as the plants form an uninterrupted lawn more easily this way. The planted area should be without shade so the plants get sufficient light. Also suitable for a garden pond, and it tolerates the low salinity of a brackish water aquarium.

Liquid Co2 from a bottle EasyLife EasyCarbo 250ml
Size: 250ml
Carbon is essential for good plant growth
EasyCarbo is an extremely powerful and effective carbon source for aquarium plants.
Carbon (in the form of CO2 dissolved in the water) is one of the most important nutrients for optimal plant growth. If there is a lack of carbon, plants are not able to optimally assimilate and grow. As a result of this deficiency, plants stop growing and no longer compete with algae for the nutrients. If this carbon deficiency lasts for too long, then plants start to leak sugars and other nutrients which attract algae. As a result, leaves become covered in algae and look unattractive. EasyCarbo is the solution to this problem. After approximately two weeks of using EasyCarbo, plants visibly grow better and look better. This is particularly true of swamp plants (Cryptocoryne sp., Echinodorus sp., etcetera). As a result of the increased competition for nutrients, algae find it very difficult to survive and, in most cases, they disappear altogether.
The use of ProFito and EasyCarbo is the right combination.
Plants require more than just carbon. Trace elements are also essential. Since their presence cannot be precisely measured and we, therefore, do not know which trace elements are present in the water, ProFito is the ideal solution to enrich water with trace elements in the most complete way.

Littorella uniflora Shoreweed
- Uncommon small rosette plant
- Pointy, rigid leaves with round profile
- Forms runners
- Very slow grower
- Also suitable for cold water tanks
Littorella uniflora plant is native to Europe, where it grows on the banks and in the shallow areas of very clean waterbodies poor in nutrients and in calcium. It has not been used in aquascaping very often up to now. The growth habit of Littorella uniflora is unique, it has pointy round leaves, is a slow grower and throws runners. Very interesting as group or small lawn in the fore- and middle ground of aquaria, and it needs lots of light. The leaves are quite brittle, you ought to keep this in mind when working in the tank.
