Bamboo Shrimp
Bamboo shrimp is probably one of the most strange and interesting shrimp in this hobby. Despite their impressive size, they are very peaceful and quiet. They are gentle giants which do not care about anything but the flow. Their color is relatively variable. Bamboo shrimp can be easily kept with other dwarf shrimp, snails, or non-aggressive fish in the aquarium.

Blue Bolt Shrimp
Blue Bolt shrimp are a variety of Taiwan Bee shrimp, they are a mutation of crystal red, crystal black, and golden bee shrimp. Like all Caridina shrimp, blue bolts prefer clean, soft acidic water with a pH of 6 – 6.8, and gH of 4 – 6, they require cool temperature between 68 and 78 degrees F.
Aquarium must be fully cycled with a lot of biofilms and plants for them to graze on. Ammonia and nitrite should always be zero, nitrate under 25ppm. Weekly water change of 10-20% is suggested to keep the nitrate low. Feed only 2-3 times a week as overfeeding will cause shrimp death.
Breeding blue bolt shrimp is the same as breeding other crystal shrimp. Female shrimp will carry the eggs for about 30 days until they are hatched to miniature size of their parents. It is important to have a well established aquarium in order for the shrimplets to survive as they can only consume biofilms until they grow older.

FISH CARE, Fish Neutrients, Fresh Water, Shrimps, Water Conditioner
EasyLife Catappa X 250ml promotes Shrimp breeding
FISH CARE, Fish Neutrients, Fresh Water, Shrimps, Water ConditionerEasyLife Catappa X 250ml promotes Shrimp breeding
Size:250ml treats 2500l of water
Dosage: 10ml per 100ltr weekly or after water change.
Catappa-X fluid catappa leaves
The leaves of the Catappa tree release healing substances when they are immersed in water. The disadvantage of doing so is that, in time, they decompose, which results in the release of organic compounds. This has a number of unpleasant side effects: it turns the water brown and the released organic compounds contaminate the water.
Catappa-X is the answer to these problems. It does not discolour nor contaminate the water and it lowers the bacterial count, which greatly reduces the chance of disease. Catappa-X allows fish and shrimps to flourish and have more vibrant colours.
Product benefits of fluid Catappa-X
- Promotes Shrimps to breed as it makes the water favorable for shrimps
- Fish and shrimps with more vibrant colours
- Improves the general health of the living creatures
- Prevents diseases
- Does not turn the water brown
- No extra organic contamination

Their gorgeous coloration draws the eye directly to these dynamic little shrimp and adds charm and cheer to any aquarium set-up. These shrimp look great, clean your tank, and are a blast to watch! They are very active and breed quickly.

Lower intensity lighting and dark substrate also helps them achieve the most vibrant yellows.

Pinocchio shrimp
They may not be the most common shrimp in the hobby, but the appropriately named Pinocchio shrimp (Caridina gracilirostris) will definitely be a fascinating addition to your aquarium. If provided the right care, that is: there are quite a few myths out there about their care that you are best off avoiding.
Pinocchio shrimp need a good quality type of water (RO/DI). Tap water will be absolutely the last choice with them.
A reverse osmosis system is an efficient, economical way to produce high-purity water. But this water does not have any minerals, so we have to define all water parameters (pH, KH, GH, and TDS) manually.
Luckily it is easy to do with shrimp re-mineralizers. Nowadays, there are many good products on the market, for example, Salty shrimp products

Red Fancy Tiger Shrimp
The great thing about Red Fancy Tiger shrimp is that they vary in pattern so drastically, all are so beautiful. We sell tiger shrimp usually around half an inch. The smaller they are, the easier it is to acclimate them to a new aquarium. The shrimp will reach breeding age within a month of receiving them.
Red fancy tiger shrimp are a mix between tiger shrimp and crystal red shrimp. We keep these shrimp at the parameters below. In our experience, these shrimp are very hardy and have done really well for us. Through importing these guys, we have lost very few. The red fancy tiger is a must have for all aquarium shrimp hobbyist. The contrast between the red and white is very appealing. They are a great change from the typical red and white patterns found in crystal red dwarf shrimp.

Red Galaxy Pinto Shrimp A
Their breathtaking red and white coloration makes this one of the most sought-after shrimp in the world!Red Galaxy Pinto Shrimp (Caridina cantonensis) are notorious for their very striking red and white coloration that makes them stand out magnificently against any backdrop or substrate. Though similar to our Crystal Red Shrimp, these tend to be more uncommon and offer a more broken “galaxy” pattern.
These shrimp are A grade, meaning the intense coloration covers most of the body. Higher grades of Red Galaxy Pinto Shrimp actually have more white coverage and less red coverage, and can be very difficult to keep as they are much more sensitive than these. Because of this, A grade Red Galaxy Pinto Shrimp are the best starting point for anyone that wants to keep Red Galaxy Pinto Shrimp.
We also have the same type of shrimp in black and white, called a “Black Galaxy Pinto”. They will breed with these and produce either black/white or red/white offspring only, making an absolutely gorgeous-looking colony of galaxy shrimp.

Red King Kong Shrimp Wine Red
Red King Kong shrimp and Panda shrimp are red Taiwan bees. They are from the genus Caridina and tend to be more difficult to keep compared to cherry shrimp or other aquarium shrimp. Taiwan Bees were considered some of the hardest to keep and breed freshwater shrimp in the past. Between 2009 and 2014, hobbyists were able to stabilize the Taiwan bee shrimp line to have more stability. By adding in new genetic pools, the Taiwan bee shrimp is much easier to keep and breed in current days. For a hobbyist ready to take their hobby to the next level, these shrimp are a great place to start.
Mixing Taiwan Bees
It is great to be aware of the fact that all Taiwan Bee shrimp can be kept in the same tank with out risk of hybridizing. All Taiwan Bee shrimp share similar genetic lines so they will produce shrimp that look similar to the parents. Red King Kongs, Red Pandas, Black King Kongs, Black Pandas and Blue Bolts can all be kept in the same aquarium.
The following parameters are how we keep our Taiwan Bees:

Sera shrimp mineral salt
Shrimps and other water inhabitants take up a part of their essential minerals and trace elements not via their food but directly via the water. However, aquarium water does not contain many of these essential substances in sufficient amounts.
Sera shrimp mineral salt provides all important trace elements as well as valuable calcium, magnesium and potassium in a directed way. The effectively avoids molting problems and reliably closes supply gaps.
Minerals and trace elements for invertebrates
- Minimizes molting problems
- Improves the reproduction rate
- Supports a healthy growth
- Strengthens the immune system
- Enhances R/O water poor in minerals
Recommended dosage
Sprinkle 0.17 oz. (5 g, one level teaspoon) sera shrimp mineral salt for every 5.3 US gal. (20 l) of water once weekly. The dosage can be increased in case of high mineral requirement or original water low in minerals (including R/O water). A single dose increases the GH by 6.5°dGH at the average. The KH remains unaltered.
