Pinocchio shrimp
0 out of 5(0)They may not be the most common shrimp in the hobby, but the appropriately named Pinocchio shrimp (Caridina gracilirostris) will definitely be a fascinating addition to your aquarium. If provided the right care, that is: there are quite a few myths out there about their care that you are best off avoiding.
Pinocchio shrimp need a good quality type of water (RO/DI). Tap water will be absolutely the last choice with them.
A reverse osmosis system is an efficient, economical way to produce high-purity water. But this water does not have any minerals, so we have to define all water parameters (pH, KH, GH, and TDS) manually.
Luckily it is easy to do with shrimp re-mineralizers. Nowadays, there are many good products on the market, for example, Salty shrimp products

Red King Kong Shrimp Wine Red
0 out of 5(0)Red King Kong shrimp and Panda shrimp are red Taiwan bees. They are from the genus Caridina and tend to be more difficult to keep compared to cherry shrimp or other aquarium shrimp. Taiwan Bees were considered some of the hardest to keep and breed freshwater shrimp in the past. Between 2009 and 2014, hobbyists were able to stabilize the Taiwan bee shrimp line to have more stability. By adding in new genetic pools, the Taiwan bee shrimp is much easier to keep and breed in current days. For a hobbyist ready to take their hobby to the next level, these shrimp are a great place to start.
Mixing Taiwan Bees
It is great to be aware of the fact that all Taiwan Bee shrimp can be kept in the same tank with out risk of hybridizing. All Taiwan Bee shrimp share similar genetic lines so they will produce shrimp that look similar to the parents. Red King Kongs, Red Pandas, Black King Kongs, Black Pandas and Blue Bolts can all be kept in the same aquarium.
