Vigorously growing aquatic plants particularly require plenty of iron and if iron is insufficient, the growth and pigment synthesis of aquatic plants is affected. Flourish Trace supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated to be necessary for proper plant health and growth (see below for signs of deficiencies). Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation.

– Manganese: Chlorosis of young leaves, with smallest veins remaining green, necrosis between veins.
– Molybdenum: Chlorosis, twisting, death of young leaves.
– Zinc: Reduced leaf size, shortened internodes, chlorosis, spotted leaves, older leaves most affected.
– Nickel: lack of germination or seed formation, required for iron absorption.

Easy-Life Ferro contains easily absorbable iron for water plants. Iron is essential for the good development of plant leaves. Iron ensures that the leaves are green thanks to the creation of chlorophyll.
A lack of iron results in the leaves turning yellow, which is known as chlorosis. Ferro helps to prevent this problem. If there are fast-growing plants in an aquarium, then there is a good chance of iron deficiency. In that case, it is recommended to add Ferro to prevent problems.
Flourish Phosphorus is a safe solution (4,500 mg/L phosphate) of potassium phosphate that takes the guess work out of phosphate dosing.

Use 2.5mL (half a cap) for each 80L (20 US gallons) once or twice a week or as needed in response to signs of phosphorus deficiency (e.g. stunted growth, plant dark green).
Expert:
The beginner dose raises phosphorus by 0.05 mg/L (0.15 mg/L phosphate). The ideal phosphate level will vary, but generally ranges from 0.15-1.0 mg/L.
To target a specific phosphate increase, dose according to the following formula: 0.8vp=m, where v= volume of tank in gallons, p=desired phosphate increase and m=volume of product to use in mL. For example to raise 20 gallons to 0.1 mg/L phosphate you would use: 0.8*20*0.1=1.6 mL.
