The Marlboro Red Melon Discus (Symphysodon aequifasciatus) is a premium hybrid variety of discus fish, celebrated for its deep red to orange body and contrasting pale face. Originating from selective breeding of wild Amazonian discus, this strain is a favorite among aquascaping enthusiasts and discus collectors. With their round, laterally compressed bodies and calm temperament, Marlboro Red Melons bring elegance and vibrant color to any freshwater setup. They grow up to 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) and can live for 10–15 years with proper care.

- Tank Size: Minimum 55 gallons for a group of 5–6 discus.
- Water Parameters:
- Temperature: 82–88°F (28–31°C)
- pH: 6.0–7.5 (slightly acidic to neutral)
- Soft water preferred (1–4 dGH)
