CompareThe Penguin Tetra comes from the tributaries and rivers of South America and makes a high-quality addition to any community aquarium. They are faded to golden in color, and have a black vertical stripe that extends down the lowest half of of the tail, giving an appearance just like a penguin.
The Penguin Tetra may be housed in an aquarium with other gentle water fish. Tetras are a schooling fish that work well in corporations of six or more fish of the equal species. Live plants, rocks and driftwood help to enhance its herbal habitat and offer hiding spaces.
Penguin Tetras breed on occasion in an aquarium putting and a sanatorium or “breeding tank” may be necessary. During breeding time, the females will display a fuller searching belly, which help distinguish them from the males. Slightly acidic water is exceptional for gold standard breeding habits. After the eggs start to hatch, 12 to fifteen hours after being laid, getting rid of the dad and mom will reduce the quantity of misplaced fry.
The Penguin Tetra will accept many small foods which includes brine shrimp or daphnia, freeze dried bloodworms and tubifex, micro pellet food, and a high best flake food.

Breeding: Cardinal Tetras are difficult to breed in captivity. It is best to purchase them from a reputable breeder or retailer.

The Flame Dwarf Gourami is a peaceful and shy fish. If you have a pair of them, the two fish will swim together. Flame Dwarf gouramis are considered labyrinth fish, which means they breathe straight from the air with a lung-like labyrinth organ and need to have access to the water’s surface.
Originating from India, West Bengal, Assam, and Bangladesh, the Flame Dwarf Gourami are native to thickly vegetated waters.
